Results from the Sierra Nevada Senior Games 2006
This was Bill's first opportunity to test the hamstring that he reinjured at the World senior games last October. The recovery was a success. His 100 meter time of 12.61 was the fifth fastest time in the world in his age group. Here are the other results of the games:
Gold Medal in the overall fitness competition- consisting of push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, lunges, leg rows, shoulder arm rotations--

Track and Field Results
Gold in the Standing long jump 8'9" tied his own meet record with the longest jump in the country.
Gold in the Softball throw 216'6" longest throw in the nation this year
Silver in Long jump 15 feet 6 inches (top ten in the country)
Gold in the 50 Meter Dash
Gold in the 100 Meter Dash
Gold in the shot put 36 feet 7 inches (top ten throw in the country
Results from the Elko Senior Games 2005
Bill competed in 16 total events in Elko. He was awarded 13 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal for his efforts.

    The Nevada Senior Olympic Games in Las Vegas 2005
    Bill walked away with five golds in five events in the state meet, and two silver in the overall meet.

    The Huntsman World Senior Games 2005
    in St.George
    Bill received 2 Golds, 1 Silver and a Bronze
    Gold Medals:
  • Standing Long Jump (8' 11" New World Record)
  • Long Jump
    Silver in the 50 Meter Final and Bronze in the 100 Meter Final

    Times were not stellar due to 20-25 mph headwinds. Bill was leading the 100 meter race in the finals with 20 meters to go when the hamstring he has been nursing cramped and he was forced to ease up. He finished third.
